For historical fun, there is Colonial Williamsburg where visitors can have a taste of life on the verge of revolution - the American Revolution that is. Williamsburg was the hub of politics and culture for the largest colony - Virginia - in Britain's New World from 1699 to 1780

Historic Yorktown allows visitors to see life during the Colonial and Revolutionary era as well as the finale of the American Revolution.
